June Monthly Meeting - 7PM on 6/26 at Angelo's!

Our next monthly meeting is coming up this week!  We're meeting at 7PM on June 26th at Angelo's in Monona (5801 Monona Dr).

The board is meeting at 6:30 before the meeting, any interested members are welcome to attend!  Board topics will include the upcoming Cheeseburger party, Football concessions, and a time budget.

There will be a social half-hour at 7:00, followed by the meeting at 7:30.

The agenda will be posted when it's available!

Membership dues are overdue, and bus payments are due, so bring your checkbooks!  Fill out your membership form (on the left side of http://www.locs-buffett.org) ahead of time to save some time!

Trop Rock Coming Up in the Madison Area!

Brent Burns, Chuck Bayuk and Scott Kirby are playing around town over the next few weeks!

• Wednesday, June 19th,  Brent Burns is playing 6-9 at the Rockdale Bar and Grill (formerly Heathers),  222 Water St in Rockdale!
• Friday, June 21st, Chuck Bayuk and the Drunken Sailors are playing 8-11 at in the Tiki Bar at Legends Sports Bar (439 Grand Canyon Drive on the West Side of Madison, across from Schwoegler's)!
• Also Friday, June 21st, Brent Burns is playing a house concert in the Milwaukee area, contact MAPA for more information!
• Friday, June 28th, Scott Kirby is at the The Brink Lounge (701 E Washington Ave, downstairs from High Noon Saloon) at 8PM on Friday (6/28)!

Take a Stake in the Lakes and Cottage Grove Fireman's Fest Next Weekend

It's time for the annual Dane County Take a Stake in the Lakes!  We'll be meeting on Saturday, 6/15 at Goodland Park on Lake Waubesa (near Christy's Landing) at 10AM.

Bring gloves, rakes (heavy duty garden rakes are best) and shoes to get wet.

We will have t-shirts, water and a cooler of beer for the workers.  Cleanup usually takes about 1 1/2 hours or so, then we head to Christy's for lunch.

Also next weekend (6/14-16) is the Cottage Grove Fireman Festival at Firemen's Park in Cottage Grove:

• Come help out serve beer on  Friday night!  (Contact Roger for more info)
• Cottage Grove Beer Fest Saturday!
• Music lineup:
• Friday: Undercover and Lube at 8:30
• Saturday: Cherokee and Pilot at 8
• Sunday: Chuck Bayuk and the Drunken Sailors at 1:30 and The Midwesterners at 6

 

Coming up the following Wednesday (6/19), Brent Burns is returning to the Rockdale Bar and Grill (formerly Heathers) in Rockdale!  The week after that, Scott Kirby is at the The Brink Lounge on Friday (6/28)!

June Happy Hour - 6PM on 6/7 at Four Lakes Yacht Club

Yup, we're having the June Happy Hour one week early (Friday, 6/7) due to a conflict the normal week with the Cottage Grove Fireman's Festival.  The June Happy Hour is this Friday (6/7) on the patio at Four Lakes Yacht Club (6312 Metropolitan Lane in Monona, below Bourbon Street Grill).  Bring your own food and drink, grills are provided!

The party starts at 6:00!
